It's the BIG Jewish question these days...Loaded question.
If any of you have been to eretz Yisrael and were changed forever by the experience, then you felt the hollowness of leaving--that emptiness that nothing else could possibly fill. Then, you know what "Aliyah" really means.
Forget politics! The word "Aliyah" existed waaaaay before the current State of Israel was a gleam in Hitler, imach shemo, 's eye. In my experience, I made Aliyah the moment that I kissed the ground for the first time after I got off the plane. When I re-established my relationship with my people and with the Land...
... that's when I made Aliyah.
